Title Meme
So, I decided to do the title meme that has been floating around.
AO3 Title Meme by
china_shop (I snagged it from both
nrgburst and
oldtoadwoman)
Of the 20 most recent titles of your AO3 works (I just picked fics, and not art or vids)
1. How many are you happy with?
Pretty much all of them
2. How many are... not great?
I actually think they are all fine, however I did think of a better name for Memory Lane after the fact, but I created it as part of an exchange and someone had already made art with that title, so I didn't change it.
3. How many did you scramble for at the last minute?
A lot of them, I tend to pick the title last
4. How many did you know before you started writing/creating, or near the beginning?
Crepes, just because it was part of an exchange where the prompt was food based
5. How many are quotes from songs or poems?
None
6. How many are other quotes?
None
7. Which best reflects the plot of the story/content of the fanwork?
At lot of titles seem to reflect the plot quite literally, here are a few
*Wrapping Knuckles, it's about Marvel Comics' Kate wrapping up Clint knuckles
*Your Short Order Cook is an Archangel which is about the short order cook being an archangel
*Kiss in the Rain, which is about a couple kissing the rain
I think maybe I need to be more creative and less factual with my title choices
8. Which best reflects the theme of the story/fanwork?
I guess Darkness, I hate to pick this one, because it is not even drabble length, but it is the only title that is somewhat theme related. I guess I just don't pick titles based on theme all that often.
9. Which best reflects the character voice of the story/POV of the fanwork?
Memory Lane, because it's mostly from SPN Adam's POV, and him reminiscing about his past life and sharing that with Michael.
10. Which is your favourite?
Dragon's Breath, because it does have a literal meaning in the story, but is also atmospheric, plus I just think it sounds awesome
