Goodbye Desktop (Probably)

Well today my desktop decided it would be a good day to die. I have been trying to fix it for most of the day, without much success. I guess I can not complain too much because it is 7 years old, and they say they are only meant to last 5 years. It had been slowing down a lot lately and shutting if self off, and I had been thinking I might need to get a new one this year, I just wished it had decided to wait a little longer before quitting on me. I will probably be heading to Best Buy tomorrow if I can, we are in lock down here, but I do think they have curbside pickup. My big worry is recovering all my files off my old computer, I have a lot of my images backed up, but not most of my word documents. I do have a data transfer cable, so hopefully that works.

Currently I am using an old acer notebook that I had, that must be 10-12 years old at least, and its only speed seems to be sloth. The thing is running windows 7, so that should give you an idea of how old it is.

The timing of this kind of sucks with fandomtrees reveals coming up very shortly, but hopefully I will have my computer issues settled by the 5th, if not I will slowly be going through all the trees with this very slow notebook.

Oh no!

I truly hope that you are able to get your files. I have had three laptops and a desktop die and lost so much because of it. It is heartbreaking.

I hope I can get them back too, but we shall see. I guess it is my own fault, I should have backed them up, I was actually thinking of doing that soon, but then my computer decided to quit first. I know the pain of having to get a new computer and losing most of your stuff, it has happened to me in the past. fingers crossed I can avoid it this time.

Thank you, hopefully I will not have to take you up on your offer, but we shall see. My plan is to go to Best Buy today and get myself a new harddrive.

I was browsing the website last night with my phone, and they have a desktop on sale for boxing week, so hopefully I can get that one with no problems.
