Fandom Trumps Hate - Last Day to Bid!

Today is the last day (March 1) to bid! I'm offering a cover art/moodboard for ANY fandom, and one fic under 5k for either Sherlock Holmes, Dead Boy Detectives, or Doctor Who.

It was a great and exciting auction!
I'm so pleased that both my auctions (fic and fan labour) got bids - low ones but they got taken so that's enough for me. :D Especially because I've never before offered fic and so I'm thrilled to see how that'll go now.

My fanbinding offers got amazing responses (27 raffle entries plus the auction going for 700!!), in general the fanbindings are doing sooo well!

Also I'm so happy that I won the fic auction I'd set my eyes on! Woohoo! I got outbid at first with quite a jump but I kept an eye on it anyway because they bid my limit and I was like, "Well, I could do 5 more, that wouldn't hurt". Nothing happened anymore and so I actually outbid them by 5 in the last few seconds of the auction. Perhaps the author will make a second bidder offer, but I wasn't sure about it and I really wated that one. I even got up at 1.40 am to see the end of the auctions this year. XD

Did you also bid on anything?

I bid on a few things. I know won a fic from one of my fave fic authors, I kept checking that one every five minutes near the end because last year I got outbid at the very last second, and I was so sad. I also bid on some other things, a bid on a few of the golden needle offerings, but I don't know if I won anything thing else, I'll just have to see in a few days when they send out the emails. I was hoping to get higher bids on my fic offer, but I'm just glad I got anything at all, because I was really starting to wonder. That being said, I offered Sherlock Holmes and Dead Boy Detectives both of which were popular choices this year, I think there was like 75 Sherlock Holmes offers, which is crazy when you think about it.

Congrats on the response to your bookbinding offer, that is a lot of money for a good cause.

Yeah outbidding very close to the end is always unfortunate and I felt a bit bad about it. :/ There were some bidding wars in the last few minutes on several auctions - I noticed it in the fanbindings, but also in another fic auction I'd kept an eye on. I wasn't so serious about that one and saw that they went up to 275 in the end because two people tried to win and made big jumps... 🙈

Sherlock Holmes tends to get a lot of offers, that's true! Kpop also had over 100 though they of course spread out over several acts. The Untamed/MDZS had 99 which is crazy. XD

I hope you got some other cool auctions as well!
