I miss my library

I miss my local library. They do have curbside pick up now, which is great, but I miss going to the library and browsing the shelves, seeing what's new, just hanging out. I didn't realize that I would miss it so much.

We have curbside pickup on certain days and times, but it still doesn't feel the same. And I reserved a book which I knew was available in my local branch, so obviously they are sending a copy from a different branch.

I haven't used the curbside pickup option yet, I been mostly trying to read my TBR pile at home, or checking out ebooks from their online library, but yeah, curbside pickup just isn't the same as going to the library.

Same. :( I haven't been back to the library since the pandemic, and I miss browsing.

Yeah, browsing is so fun, and I've found books that way that I had never even heard of before. The problem with the curbside pickup is you need to know exactly what you want.

I so get this! I actualy had a (masked, socially distanced) conversation with a woman on the bus today about this. How curbside pickup helps alleviate the boredom, but it is not the same.
