I'm kingstoken, I don't give out my real name online, if I can help it.

A bit about my nonfannish life ...
I'm currently not working because of the pandemic, and I was only working part-time before that. I used to travel quite a bit, and hope to again someday in the future. I had vague plans to travel to Alberta/BC at the beginning of 2020, but then pandemic happened, so that has been delayed indefinitely.

A bit about my fannish life ...
Currently I am really into Supernatural, hey the last season just happened, got to revel in it while we can, and Star Trek TOS, which is the fandom that never dies. If you would like to know more about me and my fandoms please check out my updated sticky post

Another cat lover 🙂 It really is amazing how many of us are, almost every journal I've responded to as a mod today has had a little comment about their cat or cats, or that they love cats.

Sorry to hear you've not been able to work, it's terrible how many people are in that position at the moment. Here in the U.K. so many businesses have gone under. I've been doing my best to support all my local small businesses to help,them out. I hope you're doing okay.

I do miss travelling, I didn't even get to the coast this year and it's only about an hour and a half drive from me, when we weren't in lockdown everyone was crowding in the beaches so I stayed away as I care for my 87 year old mother. (I gave up work last year for that reason and I'm so glad I did.)

I just checked out your sticky post. Daryl/Carol and Madison/Troy! I am hyped for the new spin-off, and I was obsessed with Madison/Troy. Still am when my mind wanders back to them. :)

Ah TOS. 💜 It's somehow such a comforting constant in fandom? Any time I come back to it there are new things.

Also yay, someone else who ships David/Julia from Bodyguard! It's a casual fandom for me too, but I spent a week or so after it released marathoning the series over two days and then reading all the fix-it fic (and some very angst canon-compliant fics).

I hope you get to travel again soon! I've really missed travelling this year, too.

It is so nice to meet another Madison/Troy shipper! There were so few of us. Sigh, I wish canon had given us a little more of the pairing. I always had this theory that Troy would return, but without Madison it just wouldn't be as good.

Yes, I loved David/Julia, and I was a little heartbroken by it, even though the overall series was amazing.

TOS is the fandom that keeps on giving, I think all the newer treks make people curious and they want to check out the original, which is good for the fandom, because it means more fanworks.

Hopefully I will be able to travel in 2022, after the majority of the population has been vaccinated and it has been proven effective. I have always wanted to visit Banff National Park.

I live in eternal denial that *Madison* will return. /o\ I'll hold on to that theory until the series ends. If I don't see someone die, they are still probably dead could be alive! If we got a miraculous return of either one of them (or preferably, both) I'd lose it. lol

There are a lot of cat lovers on the internet, I love dogs too, but I currently don't have one, and probably won't anytime soon.

My doing okay being out of work, but I know that isn't the case for everyone. My mother is also a senior, so I try to limit going out to only essential trips, which means I've been going a little stir crazy this year.

I hope to travel in 2022, when everything is hopefully stable and safer.

If they bring her back they might actually get me to watch the show again, her death was awful weak for such a badass character, I'm 100% sure she could have survived that no problem. If they brought both of them back I would metaphorically die of happiness.

Star Trek fandom will definitely never die. I don't think Supernatural will either, though I hope it calms down a little, lol.

Those are all perfect things to be enthusiastic about!

Thank you, I hope to do some travelling in 2022 once everything is stable again.

I think SPN fandom still has a lot of gas left in the tank, but it will probably mellow a little over the next little while, and Star Trek is the fandom that just keeps giving.

I'm glad I wasn't too late to do day one, I look forward to rest of the challenge.

I took a long break from the show after she died and only caught up a few months ago. I had a lot of issues with season five, but I am loving the current season. The cherry on top would be Madison being resurrected. Denial or not, I'm crossing my fingers for it.

I have acquired an unplanned for cat and have discovered that I love being a cat mom. *g*

Sheesh, you're the one who told me last year that there wasn't going to be a dwbookbingo and I just found out from reading your sticky again this year. Bummer.

Yeah, no bingo again this year, that is why I took things into my own hands and created my own book bingo card. I have roughly 5 people doing the bingo with me this year.

The Old Guard is one of the best things to come out of 2020.
