2022 Book Bingo Card

I present to you the 2022 Book Bingo Card:




I'm afraid I had to use Canva this year, because the site I usually use was having issues, so I hope this isn't too much of an inconvenience.

Don't forget if you are having trouble filling some of the squares you are allowed two substitutions and two wild cards, substitutions are substituting one category for another, I'll post a substitution list below, wild cards can be any book you want, including fanfiction, the fanfiction should be over 50,000 words and fanfiction can only be used once for a wild card square.

**Update**: I realized after the fact that I have repeated two of the squares, I'm sorry about that.  Please use the second Crime/Mystery as another free space

We'd be glad to have you if you want to give it a try. It is really low pressure, it's just a challenge to get you out of your comfort zone and try reading new things.

Years ago, I used to walk in to my local library and checked out the display the librarians had set out (featuring classics, new books, strange or weird books, and their own favorites) and loaned out all books that had fancy covers or that seemed otherwise interesting. I'm treating this bingo like an extension of that spread.

Question: Do you have (or know of) a tutorial for putting the book covers in the bingo card squares? I've used GIMP and Irfanview before, but I don't know how to get pictures to fit exactly inside the bingo card boxes.

Hi, I found this older tutorial from the ljbookbingo, https://ljbookbingo.livejournal.com/29778.html, they used an online program called Be Funky, but it gives you and idea.

I personally use photoshop, but I hear GIMP is pretty similar. Someone back in 2019 had a post teaching you how to do it in photoshop, I can't find it right now, but I'll try and describe it. You upload your bingo card, then you use the rectangle tool to create a square over the bingo square you have completed. then you upload the image of your book and place it over the blank square you created, then you click "layer" and then click "create clipping mask". If you are happy with how it all looks you click "layers" and then click "merge layers" and save the image. I hope that makes sense.

I have so many books on my to-read list, I can get anxious and end up not reading anything, so it helps to have a 'guide' like themes to help direct me. XD
