Bonus questions:

Your fandom personality in 2023 was: (i.e. Fandom Eeyore, Twitter Refugee, Discord Party Animal, etc.)
  • I have no idea how to answer this one. Maybe a fandom gardener? Someone who tends to their own creative projects, and likes to share things, and keeps up with fandom to a degree, but tries to stay out of discourse and the like.
In 2023, you discovered: (that you adore hockey RPF, but you hate the Liberty Mutual emu, etc.)
  • I tried a few new shows this year, I enjoyed them, but I didn't really become fannish about any of them,  The one exception is Doctor Who, which I am dipping my toe into, but it is so new I don't know if that will last long term, so we will have to wait and see.
  • I'm so sick of shows killing characters off for no good reason, this is hardly a new complaint, but the older I get the more tired I am by it.
Your fandom home in 2023 was: (Bluesky, Mastodon, Middle Earth, lying in my bed, with a good book, etc.)
  • Mostly tumblr and dreamwidth, but I do really enjoy chatting in discord servers as well.

Eleven got on my nerves, too. I was never able to see Doctor/River myself but I liked the actor and shipping isn't--I can't explain it. My husband ships--shipped a pairing in every series he ever watched--and I just don't, usually. I don't know why. (He probably shipped Ten and the blond woman whose name I always forget. lol.) I quit DW at a certain point in Eleven's run and didn't go back until Thirteen. I'll need to watch Twelve if I'm going to resume, I think.

Doctor Who is uneven as you already know. Some brilliant episodes that stay with you for life--and some duds--in every single series.
