In your own space, create your own fandom challenge.

Challenge: Leave a comment on a fic with zero comments.

I know everyone does comment challenges, but they are the most fun and easy.  So, the challenge is to go to the tag on AO3 for your most recent fandom, sort by comments, and find a fic with no comments and leave a nice comment.  I did it for Granada Sherlock Holmes and left a comment on this fic.

Bonus challenge: Tell me your favourite "toxic yaoi" or "toxic yuri" ship.

I recently started a Fanlore page for Toxic Yaoi/Yuri, it's just a stub right now and could use some examples.  So, when you hear the terms "toxic yaoi" or "toxic yuri" what ships spring to mind?

When it comes to "toxic yaoi"...

- The final boss of toxic yaoi, for me, are Garai and Michio from MW. Priest sexually assaults a young kid, who goes on to be an insane bisexual crossdressing dogfucking terrorist, and Garai both loves him, hates that he keeps falling for his seduction and breaking his vows, and needs to stop him from ending the fucking world. This manga is batshit and I love them so very much...
- SuzaLulu from Code Geass! Childhood friends turned ideological opponents that ends in a wildly homoerotic assisted suicide??? (I honestly have no idea what the fuck to call Zero Requiem)

Toxic yuri...

- Kirari and Sayaka from Kakegurui! Machiavellian student council president and her obsessively devoted right-hand-woman. When Sayaka loses her position as Kirari's secretary in a game, she's so devastated that she jumps off of the top of the tower- but she lands on a mattress because she subconsciously realized it was there when she would jump. Kirari jumps after her, and then is like "I knew you would jump, and I knew you would figure it out, want to start over as complete strangers?" (she says, as they lie amidst lilies)

I'd also like to propose a second classification- sodium chloride yaoi/yuri. It's when two or more utterly horrible people somehow form a relationship which is mutually supportive and healthy, neutralizing each others awfulness in a romantic relationship (other people may still feel the effects of the toxicity)

These are great suggestions, but can I ask what "MW" stands for? Also, I had never heard of "sodium chloride yaoi/yuri" I will have to look into that.

Just have to butt in here to say how glad I was to see you mentioning MW! I also love it, it's such an insane classic -- your description of it as the final boss is so apt, haha. (I also have a soft spot for the movie, even if I wish it'd been a bit more true to the original.)

Nunca consumi Yuri e Yaoi não está mais na minha vivência fannish desde os meus 20 anos, e acho que o mais tóxico que consumi foram aqueles casais de alguns títulos bastante conhecidos por serem "podres" e agora eu não consigo lembrar como se escrevem os nomes *risos* a maioria com cenas NSFW se você me entende.

Quanto ao desafio do AO3 achei-o maravilhosamente incrível. Muito bom e agradável. Vou fazer em breve u.u

Very happy to comment on this Dark Shadows fic.

Toxic yaoi? Without a doubt, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi circa the Clone Wars for animated fare and Revenge of the Sith for live action - I just love the pairing and their angst, with the partnership ending, not with the master-padawan dynamic of Qui-Gon - Obi-Wan ending naturally in death, but the infinitely juicier ending of ... betrayal.
