Guys I have to share this Granada's Holmes/Watson vid I came across, its is such gentle, lovely encapsulation between Brett's Holmes and Hardwicke's Watson. It really shows how comfortable they are around each other.

How lovely!

I've always loved the Sherlock Holmes stories and have a soft spot for several different versions/pastiches but I always thought Jeremy Brett IS Holmes. He even looks like The Strand illustrations.

I very much agree that Brett really embodies Holmes, he is I think the most book accurate Holmes I have ever seen, and I love how captures Holmes' humour and his kindness. something often missing from several adaptations.

A lot of versions also fail to capture Holmes' unfailing dedication to what's right, even if it's not what the law says.
