Challenge #3: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner

In your own space, tell us who, from one of your fandoms, would you most want to have dinner with (or tea, or a random afternoon visit), And why? This could be a creator, an actor, a costumer, a set designer, a director, a character, a composer, anybody! What would you talk about? What are you dying to know?

So today's challenge is who, from your fandom, would you like to have over for dinner.  My first thought was Dr Leonard  "Bones" McCoy from Star Trek TOS.  I'd just want to hear about all his wacky adventures in space.  If I picked Kirk you know he would tow the Starfleet line about discovering new worlds, etc, etc. and Spock would talk about the benefits to science and society, but McCoy would tell you what it was really like.  He could tell you about what sucked, who was awful, and so on.  He would be realistic with you, while also dumping all the tea about Starfleet, the Federation and so on.

My second choice is Rowena from Supernatural, again the stories she must have, she is over three hundred years old!   Think of the people she may have meet, the things she may have seen.  It bugs me that in canon, except for a few vague mentions here and there, we never learned more about her past, like she met Napoleon, and dated Mick Jagger for goodness sake!

Lastly, I would chose Sam Winchester from Supernatural.  Not so much for me, but for him.  He seems like he needs to talk about all the stuff he has been through, but rarely ever gets a chance to in canon.  So, I guess I would try to be Sam's therapist for the evening, although I am not accredited in any shape of form.  That being said, and knowing Sam, he would probably try and turn things around and get me to talk about myself instead.

What fun answers!

I do feel like the REALLY OLD characters would be potentially REALLY INTERESTING. :D

It's wonderful how you choose your guests according to how you'll get to hear stories and how they need to talk!

Oh gosh yes, McCoy would be so much fun! Star Treck isn't one of my fandoms but I just loved the original series, I used to watch it so much as a child. Happy memories :)

Bones is a fantastic choice -- and you are absolutely right that Sam would turn it back around on you, haha.

Bones from TOS would be an excellent choice and he'd bring a bottle of something good. :D

We chose the same person for Star Trek, for different reasons. Though both boil down to he would be the most interesting.

You are so right about Dr. McCoy! Yes, he would definitely spill all the tea and probably be an excellent storyteller as well.

Aaawww, I love that you would try to be Sam's therapist for an evening. And if he tries to turn things around: Maybe you could be therapists for each other.

Bones is absolutely a person to have dinner with if you want the inside scoop on things. He would be willing enough to tell you and to keep it uncensored.
