Man, times flies, last day of the Snowflake Challenge already, I'm sad to see it go, but it nice to think that January is nearly over.

Alright onto today's challenge, I know a lot of people are doing an AO3 commenting challenge, and I am doing one as well, but with a little more specificity, I commented on a fanvid with no comments. It seems that vids don't get a lot of love on AO3, so I looked up one of my fandoms, added the "fanvids" tag, sorted by comments, and commented on a vid with no comments. I ended up choosing this Jaskier/Yennefer Witcher vid, that is short and fun. Feel free join me if you like.

Secondly, the theme for this month's challenge at iconthat is deserted, and I need inspiration, so I am offering to make you an icon. If you have a fandom set in a desert like setting, and would like an icon, please comment on this post. I will try to get them to you fairly quickly, but I make no promises when it comes to timeline.

I've heard great things about Jaskier and Yennefer in this season, so I'm going to check out that vid!

Dessert would be so fun and easy, but my mind is blanking for desert.

Also, I really liked the Jaskier & Yennefer relationship in the 2nd season. My only complaint is that Jaskier doesn't show up til episode 5 or 6, and the whole time I was like where is Jaskier! I want Jaskier!

I love when commenting challenges focus on mediums/pieces that have no comments, and I will aim to find one this week to comment on myself (I also hit up the fanvid that you shared, because I love their friendship so much).

As for desert icons, FMA has the ruins of Xerxes and several characters crossing the desert at various points in time (like this).

The Mummy is my desert go to, though a nice Ten Commandments (Yul Brynner) or Prince of Egypt would be nice. But ONLY if you have inspiration.

That's a great idea for a challenge! There are lots of really good vidders in my fandom, I'll go and see if any of them are commentless. festivids just opened too, if you want some more vids to watch.

JASKIER/YENNEFER!!!!!! I honestly didn't know people posted fanvids on AO3! I usually just find them on Youtube and like them. Now, I'm going to fall down a rabbit hole of finding vids and being so jealous of the vidder's editing skills.

But you have fab taste in Jaskier and Yennefer. 😉

Youtube is obviously the main place to host fanvids, but many people also crosspost them to AO3 as well (and AO3's tag can help you find what you want).

I ship quite a few different pairings in Witcher fandom, but I really loved Jaskier & Yennefer's dynamic in season 2.

Trigun is set on a desert planet, if you still need inspiration for icons, although there's not always a lot of shots of the characters in the desert. You'd probably find more images of the plants than the characters.
