30 day book meme - Day 3

I am not sure if the meme meant blue as in the colour or blue as in sad, but I took the literal meaning. I just finished this novel just recently, I picked it up because a booktuber I watch has talked about it a lot. It is a very interesting read, and I think very well done, but it is not always an easy read. The story covers multiple perspectives and is about a girl who is raped by a star player on the local hockey team, in a town that is obsessed with the sport. You don't need to know much about hockey, in fact you could easily see this story taking place in a small town that worships their football or basketball team. There is quite a bit of build up, getting to know the different characters, but I think that is necessary to understand aftermath, and why certain characters react the way they do. It is not a perfect read, but I still recommend it, if you would be okay with the subject matter.

That One Time Lucky Slept on the Couch: Hawkeye Comics, Hawkeye Squared, This one has Clint feeling guilty about a drunken night with Kate, but Kate won't let him stew, and instead takes charge in bed

I Saved A Plate For You: Hawkeye Comics, Platonic Clint & Kate, Kate visits Clint's farm, I think this one mixes universes a bit

Helpless: MCU, Thorki, Hurt/Comfort, Post-Ragnarok, Loki is hurt and Thor is worried, I loved it, it has vulnerable Loki and caring Thor

bring me home (like memories do): X-Men Comics, RoLo, angsty little fic, Logan, who had his memories wiped, suddenly remembers Ororo

Leave, but Don't Leave Me: X-Men Comics, RoLo, comfort sex in a lake, I am not sure how else to describe it

Cutting Through the Thunder: X-Men Comics, Rolo and one sided Thor/Storm, I stumbled across this one and it made me laugh, Wolverine and Thor fighting over Storm, and Storm is not impressed

Thor | What More Could I Lose?: MCU, Thor, okay this definitely does not need my rec, it has over a 1.6 million views, but it is really well done, and if you want to have a little cry over everything Thor has been through then this is the vid for you

Fred Andrews | The Champion: Riverdale, Fred Andrews, this one maybe hard to watch, because of the recent death of Luke Perry, it is not a sad video at all, in fact it reminds you how awesome Fred is, it is just sad that we will not being seeing anymore Fred

Katniss Everdeen | Unstoppable: Hunger Games, Katniss, Katniss focused vid with a great song choice and some interesting visuals, the voice-overs could used a little work, but I know how hard that can be to pull off cleanly

Star Trek Voyager--Home: Voyager, Ensemble, nice vid about the crew of Voyager, and the song choice is really apt

Sorry, for so many Marvel related recs this time, but I have been going though a bit of an X-Men phase lately, remembering how much I used to love Wolverine/Storm. Plus, I have been making my way through the Hawkeye comics, and loving them, so of course I had to seek out fanfiction
