Prompt 5: Goldenrod
Historically, Goldenrod has been used as a symbol of good fortune, growth, and encouragement. Because of its ability to survive in diverse, harsh environments, Goldenrod represents good luck and a pioneering spirit (pretty fitting given its origins in the meadows and pastures of North America).

I wasn't sure what to do with this prompt, but then I remembered you all liked the My Little Pony restoration I posted last year, so here is another one!  The creator has been off YouTube recently, so I was so nice to see them posting videos again, and Applejack has golden hair, so it fits the prompt!  Also, did everyone know that Applejack was a girl pony?  I don't why, but when I think back I always thought Applejack as a boy pony, so I was very surprised to find out it was the opposite today.  Anyways, enjoy:

Prompt 3: Bluebell
In the language of flowers, the bluebell is a symbol of humility, constancy, gratitude and everlasting love. It is said that if you turn a bluebell flower inside-out without tearing it, you will win the one you love, and if you wear a wreath of bluebells, you will only be able to speak the truth.

I have to confess that I was at a bit of a loss of what to post for this day, so I decided to post some stuff about my favourite boys in blues Spones from Star Trek: TOS. Below are a couple of great spones vids:

Prompt 1: Iris
They can represent faith, hope, courage, wisdom and admiration. Specific flower colors attach further meanings to the pretty blooms. Purple iris brings a message of wisdom and compliments, while a bouquet of blue iris blossoms speak of hope and faith.

First off, Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadians!

Purple is my favourite color! I didn't think I would have anything to post today, but went through some bookmarks and found some purple-ish related things:

First a Steddyhands fic where Ed is under the influence of laudanum, didn't they used to call drugs the purple haze? Well I'm making it work for this prompt anyways. I really like this fic and how it shows how much Ed relied on Izzy, and Izzy 's torn feelings about Ed and their former relationship. Ed's walls being down with the drugs was interesting to see. I also felt the Stede and Izzy portion of the story felt quite natural, and it ends on a hopeful note:

This Interview with a Vampire vid set to Taylor Swift's Lavender Haze. It's well done, and I think it really highlights how Louie falls under Lestat's spell. (TW for blood, they are vampires afterall)



This fun vid about Gabriel from Good Omens, it will have you smiling, even when he's being an asshole. On a side note, I'm very interested to see how different Gabriel is going to be in season 2 (he looks very different in the trailer) and how much of the jerky Gabriel will shine through.

Prompt 6: Amethyst
In the ancient world, Amethysts were believed to hold the power to purify the body, especially from drunkenness. It was also thought that they could help cure disease, and so Amethysts were used to draw any illness out. They have been associated with royalty, nobility and spirituality because of their purple colour. In modern times, they’re used as popular semi-precious stones and are either cut into faceted gems or carved. Amethysts are also the birthstone for February.

First off, I didn't sleep well last night, so my brain is not optimal today, so this is just going to be a bit of randomness, that you will maybe enjoy. Purple is my favourite colour, in it's honour please enjoy this McSpirk vid where Kirk is trying to convince Spock to accept Bones as their third. It uses a sparkly purplely overlay:

Prompt 4: Kyanite
Kyanite typically ranges from light to dark blue (which gives it its name, from the Greek kyanos) and usually appears in sprays of bladed crystals. It is usually associated with calming, grounding energy, and sometimes linked to clarity and logic as well. It's a lesser-known gemstone that you won't often see in jewelry stores, but can be a beautiful, steadying presence among flashier stones.

I saw that others have been reccing chill and beautiful music for this prompt, so I'm going to follow the trend. First choice is my man Scott Helman, who I discovered earlier this year, and I wish he got more recognition in the pop music world. This one is one of my faves:



Second, is Oh Wonder, which have a great catalogue of songs, and I almost always include them on all my playlists. Choosing one song of theirs was hard, but I went for this one, which is also on my Spones playlist:



Next is Sleeping At Last, the king of songs that are subtle but powerful, Saturn is probably my absolute fave, but I also love this song, and still haven't found the prefect fandom playlist for it yet:

Prompt 2: Rose Quartz
Soft pink in color, Rose Quartz has been a popular stone since as far back as 800-600 BCE. Today, as in the past, it’s most associated with love, compassion, and healing in all its forms both towards oneself and others. In the Greek myths it’s mentioned at least twice: once where Eros is said to have brought it to man to inspire love, and again in the story of Aphrodite and Adonis where it came to represent love triumphant. It’s a stone of beauty and sentiment and will likely be favored for years to come.

This fic is so good, but also heart-breaking at times.  It is very focused on Kirk's relationship with Spock and McCoy, and just when it seems that maybe the triad are going to be able to figure things out Kirk has to go through it all again.  (Warning: there is a suicide attempt in the story)

Reccer's Note: This is a wolf-shifter AU, but is not A/B/O. It has fantasy elements, but at it's core it's a really nice story about people who have been rejected from, or lost, their families (or packs in case) and are building a new one of their own. It is one of my fave Destiny fics.

As the thought began to break free, the feeling of love overwhelmed him in a not dissimilar way to the flames overwhelming the church. He tried not to consider the meaning of a church of the Lord burning to ash before his eyes as he realised that he is in love with a demon .
Aziraphale and Crowley steal a night in the darkness hoping that they will remain unseen together in the blackout.
Reccer's Note: This fic ponders what if Aziraphale and Crowley had gotten together after the 1941 bombing? The authors call this porn with feelings, the sex is very well written, and the authors do an amazing job of conveying what it is like for these characters to be sharing these intimate moments in almost complete darkness. However, what really sells this fic is the feelings! There is self doubt, and hesitation, and the two of them are so tender and caring with each other, and I loved the ending.
